Melanie Oliver began her career as an assistant editor, working on films such as Jane Campion’s An Angel at My Table and The Portrait of a Lady. She then embarked on a successful career in television, where she began an ongoing collaboration with Tom Hooper on Elizabeth I and Longford, for which she won a BAFTA TV award.
Oliver has since gone on to work on a number of feature films including; Brick Lane, Anna Karenina and Les Miserables, and more recently, multi-award winning Pride and Before I Go to Sleep.
