Bass-piano-drums trio The Bad Plus have become known for their genius live covers (of Aphex Twin, Black Sabbath and Bee Gees songs, among others) but their own tracks are just as appealing. A jazz collective beloved by rock fans (and generally scorned by jazz purists), The Bad Plus released rowdy, eclectic album Prog this past May, but they need to be seen live to be fully appreciated. Supporting is Rebekka Bakken, the Norwegian singer whose strong, clear voice is perfect for her delicate jazz-tinged ballads.
