Artists' Film Biennial 2014: How is the 21st Century Different?

A panel discussion on the influence of late 20th and early 21st century popular culture on artists' moving image and the recoded visual language used by artists. This discussion will examine the role of technology, connectivity and popular culture and its influence on aesthetic and conceptual approaches to artists' moving image. Chaired by Steven Cairns, ICA Associate Curator of Artists’ Film and Moving Image, with contributions from writer Paul Clinton, and artists Clunie Reid and David Panos.
