Architecture + Computation: Embedded, Embodied, Adaptive

5 Sep 2007

Presented by The Club.

A diverse group of speakers, invited by the UCL Bartlett Adaptive Architecture Lab, offer insights into the possibilities of computation in design, from simulation to systems to experience. Speakers include sculptor Antony Gormley; architect and engineer Charles Walker; interactive environmental designer Usman Haque; philosopher Michael Wheeler; and architectural theorist Alan Penn. This open forum seminar will be chaired by Bartlett academic fellow Sean Hanna, and will run in tandem with a show of works from the Bartlett’s MSc in Adaptive Architecture and Computation.

There will be an exhibition of work in the Nash and Brandoon rooms from 1pm on Wednesday 5 September. Entry free with admission ticket.

The talk will be followed by a drinks reception in the Nash and Brandon Rooms.
