Set in the depths of the northern-Russian wilderness, two teenage brothers unexpectedly come face-to-face with their father, returned from a mysterious twelve-year absence and who they know only from a faded photograph.
Together, they set off on a fishing trip to a remote island. What might have been a simple tale of father-son relationships, soon takes on tragic overtones however. The film won a Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
The film will be shown in 35mm.
