  • The building is open Tuesday - Thursday 12pm - 11pm (last orders at the bar), Friday and Saturday 12pm - 12am, and Sunday 12pm - 11pm
  • The ICA Bookstore and Box Office are open Tuesday - Sunday 12pm - 9pm
  • The galleries are open during exhibitions 12pm - 9pm
  • Rochelle Canteen is open Tuesday - Sunday according to the general opening hours above
    • Lunch is served from 12pm - 3pm, supper from 6pm - 10pm, with drinks and a range of bar snacks available outside of these times

    *Please note these are our standard opening hours. There may at times be slight variations to support programme.

    Entry to the ICA is with Day Membership, set at £1. Day Membership includes access to exhibitions and displays, as well as use of facilities such as Rochelle Canteen and free WiFi.

    Large bags and suitcases are not permitted into the Cinemas, Theatre or into events in other venues in the building. The ICA does not have a cloakroom so please do not bring such items with you to avoid being refused admission to your event

    Public transport

    • London Underground

      The nearest tube station is Charing Cross or Piccadilly Circus

      To reach the ICA from Charing Cross follow the signs for Trafalgar Square. Head through Admiralty Arch near the south west corner, on to The Mall and we're located approximately 50 metres on the right hand side. 

      To reach the ICA from Piccadilly Circus head down Lower Regent Street to Waterloo Place. The entrance is located at the bottom of The Duke of York steps.

    • Rail

      The nearest train station is Charing Cross.

    • Bus

      There is a bus stop on nearby Trafalgar Square or Cockspur Street. Please note that no bus services operate on The Mall.

    • Bicycle

      There are bike racks for locking bikes at the top of the Duke of York steps. Directly behind the ICA on the corner of Waterloo place and Carlton House Terrace is a London Cycle Hire docking station. You can use Cyclestreets to plan your cycle journey.

    • Car and Taxi

      There is no parking on The Mall but the main entrance is available for dropping off passengers. There are metered parking bays in Waterloo Place and Carlton House Terrace, and there are also car parks in Whitcombe Street and Spring Gardens, both off Trafalgar Square.
