g39 is an artist-run organisation based in the heart of Cardiff. Part gallery, part community and part resource, it was founded by artists Chris Brown and Anthony Shapland in 1998. g39 has organised 60 exhibitions to date, both at its main location and in temporary sites throughout the city. The organisation has curated projects internationally at other galleries, acting as an important showcase of work from Wales, as well serving as a conduit for work from further afield. The space is currently developing an artists' resource programme, which will open in September under the direction of Sean Edwards.
