12 Jan 2011 – 1 Feb 2012
To start this new year of exciting films and events, BAFTA and the ICA launch a three month series of masterclasses where leading creatives are invited to share their experiences and secrets behind their craft. Every week we will be inviting an expert in their field to talk about their work in a small, intimate environment, illustrated with a number of clips.
Our accomplished guests are all currently working in either film, TV or video game making (or all three!) and the classes focus on a wide range of industry crafts including screenwriting, editing, title design, hair and makeup, cinematography and writing video games.
There's an opportunity for the audience to ask those burning questions and to learn the trade from the masters. Guest speakers include screenwriter Tony Grisoni (Red Riding Trilogy), cinematographer John Mathieson (Brighton Rock), editor Nicolas Chaudeurge (Fish Tank), title designers Nic Benns and Miki Kato of Momoco (Misfits) and make-up & hair designer Jacqueline Fowler (Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll).
