Billy Childish has published more than 40 collections of verse. His poetry is by turns base, spiritual, funny and devastatingly honest, and for this event he will read a number of pieces from across his career. The evening will also feature a less well-known aspect of Childish’s output; in 2002 he formed the Chatham Super-8 Cinema, a group of friends that produce short films with a second-hand camera purchased at Rochester Flea Market. Tonight we will screen a number of their recent works.
