Lars and the Real Girl

A romantic comedy that presents us with a very different sort of relationship, and that ends up travelling into unexpectedly strange and touching territory.

The brilliant Ryan Gosling stars as a smalltown misfit who surprises his local friends and colleagues by revealing that his new girlfriend is a full-sized plastic doll. Rather than tumbling into farce, the film is a heartfelt story about love, loss and loneliness.
