Bright Young Things is Selfridges' annual initiative which hand-picks, nurtures and showcases some of the UK's most exciting rising stars from the worlds of fashion, art, design and food. A selection of Bright Young Things will present and discuss their work at our Off-Site project space at The OId Selfridges Hotel on Saturday 19 October, and in advance of this we're previewing three artist's practices on the ICA Blog.

Grace Hamilton is a contemporary jewellery designer and artist. Grace creates handcrafted statement neckpieces, primarily using the art of crochet and traditional craft techniques that push the boundaries of conventional jewellery design.

Hamilton is largely influenced by her experiences travelling, drawing on her love of colour, texture and form. She is driven mostly by a passion to preserve traditional craft techniques and challenges how we can use these skills today.

As one of Selfridges 'Bright Young Things', Grace has transformed her unique statement jewellery pieces into a giant necklace-engulfed installation for her Oxford street window display.
